My wife and I were in out in the deserts of Utah, and Arizona roaming around after taking part in a camp put on by Expeditions in Education or STEAM in the PARK. (I'll have to make a blog post about that some day!) One of the places we stopped to explore was the Pipe Spring National Monument in the Kaibab Indian Reservation. While in the gift shop, I saw this little fella:
Because we donate 5% of our screen printing orders, I knew I had to grab one of these adorable plush toys that they had "for adoption." Sure, it wasn't a t-shirt, but I loved the idea of using these stuffed animals as a fundraising item for the National Parks. And since the Parks also tend to the animals that live in them, I thought it was a just cause!
We've been printing shirts for Countryside Elementary for three years now. That relationship has grown out of a STEAM in the PARK encounter. I couldn't think of a better forever home for this little adopted stuffed animal than our friends over at Countryside. So we just finished an order and send him (or her) over for them to name and love forever!
