I was listening to a podcast while I was printing shirts the other day—The Way I Heard It with Mike Rowe, to be exact. His guest gave a stat that I knew I had to fact-check. He said that in 1980, 70% of the clothes Americans wore were made in the USA. Now, in 2024, that number is 2%.
From what I found online, he's pretty accurate. America has the largest apparel market in the world, yet we don't make our own clothes anymore. Luckily, a few manufacturers see that as an opportunity and are making American-made T-shirts.
